GNU/Linux & Unix
GNU/Linux
FreePOPs is mainly developed using the
GNU/Linux operating systems. Since there are a bunch of distros, we try to
provide packages for the most widely used.
Debian GNU/Linux
FreePOPs is part of
Debian.
apt-get install freepops

Fedora RPM packages.
Ubuntu and Kubuntu (amd64, i386)
Marco Giorgi provides up to date
debs for Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
Mandriva

precompiled rpms for mandriva.
Gentoo
FreePOPs is part of the official
Gentoo packages
Slackware
Here you can find the
slackware package, maintained by the slacky community.
openSUSE
Here you can find the
openSUSE package, maintained by Andrea Florio.
Openwrt
Here you can find the unofficial packages for openwrt kamikaze maintained by Enrico Tassi. http://www.cs.unibo.it/~tassi/beta/freepops-openwrt/kamikaze/
Other
FrePOPs should be portable to other Unices, like the *BSD family. Read the instructions for FreeBSD for those, download the sources, and build it yourself.
FreeBSD & OpenBSD

There are no prebiult binaries for FreeBSD or OpenBSD, but you should be
able to compile the sources.
You need to have libcurl and expat installed, plus bison, flex, gcc, gmake and few other standard utilities.
Explode the sources and type
$ ./configure.sh obsd
or
$ ./configure.sh fbsd
and then type
$ gmake all && gmake install
To build the pdf manual you must have latex, dvips and ps2pdf installed.
